The Procurement Associate is responsible for managing procurement activities with a focus on sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing food products, both perishable and non-perishable. This role ensures timely ordering, accurate inventory control, and strong vendor relationship management. It involves tracking costs, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring the quality and availability of products align with operational needs.

Responsibilities
Source and purchase food and produce, ensuring timely, accurate orders.
Maintain vendor relationships, negotiate pricing, and monitor performance.
Track purchase orders, inventory, and deliveries using inventory systems like Produce Pro.
Analyze market trends and logistics to optimize purchasing.
Collaborate with teams to plan orders and coordinate products.
Use Excel for cost tracking and reporting.
Ensure compliance with purchasing policies.
Communicate clearly with suppliers to resolve issues and ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
At least one (1) to two (2) years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably within the food or produce industry.
Familiarity with purchasing perishable goods and sourcing from local suppliers is a plus.
Prior knowledge of seasonal availability, freight logistics, and market trends is preferred.
Must have a stable employment history.
