Job Purpose:
The Procurement Associate is responsible in searching and acquiring goods, merchandises and services for the company at the best price and value without compromising the product/service quality. They are also responsible in negotiating better prices, locating quality suppliers, and maintaining good vendor relationships to ensure that the products/services meet the company's expectations and qualifications.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare documents such as RFQ, RFP, and RFI for current projects
- Assist BUs with their initial sourcing requirements
- Evaluate prices, payment terms, delivery lead time, technical specifications, and material compliance
- Negotiates with Suppliers on price, mode of shipping, payment term, and delivery time
- Creation of Purchase Order in the Oracle Fusion.
- Compliance with Procurement policies and procedures
- Organize a bid committee meeting for major and permanent materials with active stakeholders
- Works within a given budget to purchase.
- Maintain and update the procurement monitoring system and coordinate with both Suppliers and Requestors to ensure that products are delivered on time.
- Assist in the supplier's payment processing in Supplier Portal.
- Prepare payment requests as necessary to facilitate the processing of supplier's payments for both local and foreign purchases.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports on procurement matters such as PR-PO Status, Savings, Major Purchases, etc.
Job Qualifications and Competencies Requirement:
- Graduate of Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or any related field.
- With at least 1-2 years of experience in the procurement field.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel & PPT).
- Knowledgeable in Procurement and Purchasing Processes.
- Knowledgeable in Construction-related materials.
- Knowledgeable in Oracle System.
- With good written and verbal communication skills, and interpersonal skills.
