Job Summary
The Procurement Officer is responsible in executing procurement strategies to optimize sourcing, cost savings, and vendor performance while ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations. This role also partners with internal stakeholders to strengthen supplier relationships, manage procurement risks, and improve overall supply chain efficiency.
Job Description
Develops and implements procurement strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize sourcing, cost control, and vendor management.
Identifies, evaluates, and selects vendors based on quality, reliability, cost competitiveness, and operational capability.
Conducts vendor risk assessments, evaluating financial stability, compliance, and potential impact on the company's supply chain.
Negotiates contracts, pricing, and service-level agreements to achieve best value and cost savings.
Establishes and maintains strong supplier relationships, managing vendor performance and resolving service or delivery issues.
Monitors procurement budgets, analyzes spend patterns, and identifies opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
Ensures compliance with company policies, legal requirements, ethical standards, and industry regulations.
Collaborates with internal departments to support inventory planning, maintain accurate procurement records, and improve inventory control processes.
Prepares procurement reports, including vendor performance, spend analysis, and savings achieved.
Identifies opportunities for procurement process improvement, automation, and operational efficiencies.
Recommends and implements best practices to enhance procurement effectiveness and support business objectives.
Screening Criteria
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in procurement, purchasing, sourcing, or supply chain functions.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in vendor management and supplier sourcing.
Experience in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), including data analysis and reporting.
Experience using procurement, ERP, or supply chain systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms).
Must have a stable employment history.
Required Qualifications
Demonstrates strong understanding of procurement principles, sourcing strategies, and vendor management practices.
Applies analytical skills to evaluate spend data, supplier performance, and cost-saving opportunities.
Builds strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Clear and coherent both written and verbal communication skills in English.
