Overview
The procurement Manager is responsible for managing all procurement activities within the EPC team to support the successful delivery of projects. This role focuses on strategic sourcing, subcontracting, and timely procurement of materials and services, ensuring alignment with project schedules, technical specifications, and commercial targets.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end procurement activities for EPC projects, including sourcing of equipment, materials, and subcontracted services
- Develop and implement project-specific procurement strategies aligned with project timelines, budgets, and technical requirements
- Manage tendering processes (RFQ/RFP), including bidder prequalification, commercial evaluation, and award recommendations
- Collaborate closely with Engineering teams to ensure technical specifications are accurately translated into procurement packages
- Work with Project Management teams to align procurement schedules with overall project execution plans
- Source and manage EPC vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring compliance with technical, HSE, and quality standards
- Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, delivery schedules, and contract conditions to achieve optimal project outcomes
- Monitor supplier and subcontractor performance, including delivery timelines, quality, and contractual compliance
- Manage long-lead items and critical equipment procurement to avoid project delays
- Identify and mitigate supply chain and procurement risks, including contingency planning for critical materials
- Support contract administration, including variations, claims, and dispute resolution with vendors and subcontractors
- Ensure adherence to company procurement policies, governance, and audit requirements
- Track and report procurement progress, cost savings, and budget performance to project and senior management
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in procurement processes, vendor management, and cost efficiency within EPC projects
Requirements
- Bachelor Degree in Economics, Engineering or similar
- Minimum of total of 5 years of working experience, experience in procurement and supply chain and experience in the renewable energy sector
- Know-how and experience of procurement methods and negotiation tactics, practical experience with instruments and methods within procurement
- Coordination and negotiation skills in coordinating internal and external stakeholders, initial experience in top management communication is an advantage
- Autonomy, negotiation skills, ability to work in a team and strong communication skills Entrepreneurial thinking and action
- Any relevant Certifications may be advantageous
- Proficiency in English is required; additional language skills will be considered an advantage
