Role Overview
The Procurement Functional Manager leads the design, implementation, and optimization of integration solutions within Source-to-Pay (S2P) environments. This role is responsible for defining integration architecture, enabling seamless connectivity between ERP systems and procurement platforms, and ensuring successful delivery across multiple projects.
The position requires strong expertise in integration design, API enablement, and procurement processes, along with leadership capability to manage teams, stakeholders, and end-to-end delivery of integration workstreams.
Key Responsibilities
Integration Strategy & Solution Design
- Define and lead the architecture of integration solutions connecting procurement platforms with ERP systems, including areas such as catalogs, invoicing, and end-to-end S2P processes.
- Establish integration blueprints, including data flows, system interfaces, and design standards.
- Lead integration design workshops, including requirements gathering, data mapping, and architecture discussions.
- Ensure alignment between business requirements and technical integration solutions.
API & Integration Enablement
- Lead the design and implementation of API-based and file-based integrations to enable seamless system communication.
- Oversee integration development, configuration, and deployment activities across projects.
- Ensure data integrity, consistency, and reliability across integrated platforms.
- Drive best practices in integration design, scalability, and performance optimization.
Project Delivery & Ownership
- Own integration workstreams across multiple S2P transformation projects, ensuring delivery within scope, timeline, and quality expectations.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including functional, technical, and business stakeholders.
- Oversee issue resolution, risk management, and escalation related to integration delivery.
- Ensure proper documentation of integration architecture, configurations, and processes.
Leadership & Capability Development
- Lead and mentor team members, supporting skill development and performance growth.
- Participate in recruitment activities and contribute to building high-performing teams.
- Drive internal capability-building initiatives, including training, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
- Stay current with procurement technologies, integration practices, and emerging industry trends.
Qualifications
Required
- At least 5 years of experience in integration development and implementation, preferably within procurement or S2P environments.
- Strong expertise in API-based integrations and file-based data exchange mechanisms.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL for data analysis, validation, and troubleshooting.
- Proven experience designing and implementing integrations with ERP systems.
- Strong understanding of Source-to-Pay processes and related data structures.
- Hands-on experience leading integration design workshops, including data mapping, system architecture, and interface design.
- Demonstrated ability to manage integration delivery across multiple projects and stakeholders.
Preferred
- Experience working with cloud-based procurement platforms or integration frameworks.
- Exposure to middleware technologies or enterprise integration tools.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
