Job Summary
Assists in the department's administrative and operational functions, such as sourcing, purchasing, and coordinating materials, equipment, and services in alignment with project timelines and budgets. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth flow of supplies and maintaining relationships with vendors, site teams, and internal stakeholders.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
1. Assist in the day-to-day procurement of construction materials, equipment, and subcontracted services according to project requirements and specifications.
2. Prepare and issue purchase orders (POs), track deliveries, and maintain accurate procurement records.
3. Collect and compare vendor quotations, evaluate pricing, and prepare basic cost analyses.
4. Communicate with suppliers regarding availability, lead times, delivery schedules, and quality issues.
5. Coordinate closely with site teams, warehouse, and logistics to ensure timely material availability and resolve any supply disruptions.
6. Support the tendering process by preparing RFQs and organizing supplier responses.
7. Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies, documentation standards, and safety protocols.
8. Assist in endorsing vendor for accreditation, evaluating vendor performance, and compiling supplier scorecards as needed.
