Position Summary
The Process Engineer is responsible for driving continuous improvement in production processes to optimize efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. The role focuses on process design, troubleshooting, data analysis, and implementation of improvements to ensure stable, high-quality, and efficient production operations.
The role also works closely with cross-functional teams to standardize processes, develop training materials, and implement best practices that improve productivity, yield, and operational performance.
Key Responsibilities
Process Improvement & Production Support
- Monitor and sustain production lines to minimize downtime and improve efficiency
- Perform machine setup, adjustments, and parameter optimization
- Identify root causes of machine failures and process inefficiencies, and implement corrective actions
- Support fixture, jig, and tool maintenance and availability
- Conduct real-time monitoring of production performance and identify issues
- Lead process trials for new models and equipment setups
- Analyze production data to identify defects and perform failure analysis
- Document non-conformance cases and corrective actions
- Support troubleshooting of equipment and production issues
- Assist in machine qualification and change model activities
- Ensure compliance with standard machine setup and operational procedures
Team Support & Process Documentation
- Supervise and guide technicians during daily operations
- Conduct training on machine operation, troubleshooting, and process improvements
- Maintain and update process documentation (BOM, EON, reports, etc.)
- Prepare daily turnover and performance reports
- Coordinate with teams to ensure smooth production flow and execution
- Support engineering sample preparation and inventory tracking
- Report production and process performance to management
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and yield
- Participate in process improvement and optimization initiatives
- Support cross-functional collaboration for operational improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in process engineering or manufacturing environment
- Experience in machine troubleshooting and failure analysis
- Experience in process optimization and production improvement initiatives
- Experience supervising or working with technical teams
- Experience in line setup, change model, and production support activities
- Experience in technical documentation and reporting
