Position Overview: Miller Welding & Machine Co. is seeking a Process Development Specialist to support and improve manufacturing processes. This role involves quoting, documentation, process improvement, and collaboration with suppliers and customers to ensure accuracy and efficiency across operations.
Principal Responsibilities:- Provide accurate and timely quotes using computer-based programs, written procedures, and knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Liaise with suppliers and customers to facilitate production and project requirements.
- Process revisions to customer parts and internal documentation.
- Establish bills of materials (BOMs) and routers as part of the quoting process.
- Ensure accuracy of existing shop routers.
- Identify and implement improvements to existing operations and processes.
- Keep the Process Development Manager and Customer Service Representatives informed of activities in assigned areas.
- Perform duties as assigned by the Process Development Manager and/or Executive Management.
- Maintain a professional appearance and conduct consistent with company policies and practices.
- Adhere to posted work hours and shift rotation.
- Foster a culture of continual improvement across assigned sites.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:- Degree in Industrial Engineering Required
- Experience in manufacturing processes, quoting, and process documentation.
- Experience in packaging design
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively.
- Familiarity with shop floor operations, BOMs, and routing processes.
