The organization operates a high-volume, world-class semiconductor backend facility focused on delivering safe, reliable, and innovative products used across automotive, industrial, and consumer applications. They are looking for Process and Equipment Engineering Manager to join their team!
The Assembly EOL / Test & Finishing Process & Equipment Engineering Manager leads engineering teams responsible for ensuring robust processes, capable equipment, and operational excellence across Assembly End-of-Line (Molding, Plating, DTFS) and Test & Finishing manufacturing areas. This role drives cost reduction, quality improvement, and long-term technology readiness to support factory competitiveness and future growth.
Responsibilities:
Process & Equipment Leadership
- Oversee the stability, capability, and performance of Assembly EOL and Test & Finishing processes.
- Lead troubleshooting of process deviations, equipment failures, and quality issues using structured problem-solving methods.
- Ensure strong OEE, uptime, and equipment performance across molding, plating, DTFS, and testing operations.
- Manage introduction and qualification of new equipment, materials, and process changes.
Cost and Efficiency Improvement
- Develop and implement annual cost-reduction projects focusing on yield, material usage, cycle time, and equipment efficiency.
- Partner with Manufacturing, Finance, and Supply Chain to achieve measurable savings targets.
Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement
- Champion Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, FDC, and other factory excellence methodologies.
- Drive systematic process control, standardization, and documentation improvements (SOPs, BKMs, engineering specifications).
- Lead cross-functional teams to improve throughput, quality, and operational discipline.
Process Simplification & Automation
- Identify and eliminate non-value-added steps to streamline production flows.
- Promote automation and digitalization initiatives to reduce manual handling and improve cycle time.
Technology Roadmapping
- Define long-term technology and equipment roadmaps supporting new product introductions and advanced packaging requirements.
- Evaluate next-generation tools, materials, and innovations to enhance factory capability.
- Collaborate with R&D, NPI, Product Engineering, and equipment suppliers.
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of process and equipment engineers.
- Set clear priorities, allocate resources effectively, and maintain high execution standards.
- Foster a culture of technical excellence, safety, and data-driven decision-making.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Materials, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in semiconductor backend manufacturing, specifically in Assembly EOL and/or Test & Finishing.
- Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams or large-scale improvement programs.
- Strong understanding of SPC, DOE, FMEA, 8D methodology, and statistical data analysis.
- Track record of delivering cost savings, process robustness, and equipment performance upgrades.
- Strong technical problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead teams in a fast-paced production environment.
- Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, and automation/digital transformation initiatives.
Salary from: 120,000 PHP.
