Privacy Technology Analyst About the Role: We are seeking a highly analytical and process-driven Privacy Technology Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will sit at the critical intersection of our Legal and IT departments, ensuring that privacy requirements are seamlessly integrated into our technology landscape. You will champion privacy-by-design principles, evaluate technical systems, and help future-proof our organization against evolving data protection standards.
What You Will Do:
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Legal and IT teams to integrate critical privacy requirements into both existing and new technology systems.
- Control Validation: Review technical systems to validate the effective operation of controls implemented in response to privacy requirements.
- Privacy-by-Design: Evaluate Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) for technologies to develop proactive solutions that future-proof our organization.
- Operational Efficiency: Support internal privacy operational processes, regularly identifying and implementing methods to drive process efficiencies.
- Documentation & Due Diligence: Prepare detailed documentation, including processes and procedures surrounding privacy operations, ensuring that current state practices and documentation remain perfectly in sync.
Basic Qualifications (Non-Negotiable):
- Experience: Must have at least 4 years of experience in Information Technology and/or a related industry.
- Technical Aptitude: Ability to read and understand software code is an absolute must.
- Core Competencies: Strong analytical and complex problem-solving skills.
- Work Style: Ability to work independently with limited supervision while managing time effectively.
- Communication: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and consultative skills to effectively bridge technical and non-technical teams.
Preferred Qualifications (Stand-Out Skills):
- Prior professional work experience as a Software Developer.
- A foundational understanding of regulatory environments and data privacy regulations (e.g., SOX, PCI, HIPAA, PII).
- Active privacy certifications such as CIPP/US, CIPT, or CIPM.
