PRIVACY TECHNOLOGY ANALYST
About the Role
We are seeking a Privacy Technology Analyst to join our team and help bridge the gap between Privacy, Legal, and Technology. This role is ideal for a technically inclined professional with experience analyzing systems, understanding software applications, and supporting privacy compliance initiatives.
The successful candidate will work closely with legal, compliance, and IT teams to integrate privacy requirements into technology solutions, evaluate privacy controls, and support privacy-by-design initiatives across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Legal, Privacy, and IT teams to integrate privacy requirements into existing and new technology systems.
- Review technical systems and processes to validate the effectiveness of privacy controls.
- Conduct and support Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs).
- Identify opportunities to improve privacy operations, processes, and controls.
- Support privacy-by-design initiatives and recommend solutions that align with regulatory requirements and business objectives.
- Prepare and maintain documentation, policies, procedures, and operational processes related to privacy compliance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure privacy requirements are effectively communicated and implemented.
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in Information Technology or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and understand software code and technical documentation.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred
- Previous experience as a Software Developer, Systems Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, Security Analyst, or similar technical role.
- Knowledge of privacy and regulatory frameworks such as SOX, PCI, HIPAA, and PII requirements.
- Experience supporting privacy, compliance, risk, governance, or security initiatives.
- Privacy certifications such as CIPP/US, CIPT, or CIPM.
