The Qualifications We Seek
- At least 2 years of experience in ad build or image production within print, advertising, or media
- Experience in newspaper, magazine, or catalogue production; real estate style guides are a plus
- Qualification in graphic design, print production, or related field, or equivalent experience
- Additional training in prepress, print technology, or colour management is advantageous
- Strong time management and prioritization skills to meet tight deadlines without compromising quality
- Proficiency in preflight and QC processes, including typography, spellchecking, layout accuracy, and issue resolution
- Familiarity with preflight systems, terminology, and standard export presets
- Excellent English communication skills with strong grammar and proofreading ability
- High attention to detail with a quality-first, zero-defect mindset
- Strong knowledge of print production (CMYK, spot colours, resolution, file optimization, press-ready output)
- Ability to analyze and report production data using Excel
- Experience working on Mac systems
- Skills in monitor calibration, ICC profiling, or cross-channel asset adaptation are a plus
- Advanced certification in colour management or graphic prepress is an advantage
- Willingness to render occasional overtime or shift adjustments based on business needs (e.g., breaking news or team coverage)

- Advanced Adobe InDesign and Photoshop skills, with working knowledge of Illustrator
- Strong print reproduction expertise (CMYK, ink weights, profiles, press standards)
- High-level quality control and proofreading accuracy
- Technical troubleshooting in prepress (fonts, links, colour conflicts)
- Effective communication and stakeholder collaboration
- Strong time management, resilience, and ability to handle demanding workloads
Your Daily Tasks
- Build print ads in Adobe InDesign from supplied assets, ensuring correct dimensions, bleed, trim, and margins
- Perform image enhancement in Adobe Photoshop, including colour correction, retouching, and deep etching to meet print specifications
- Maintain high-quality standards across all ad production and imaging outputs for newspapers and prestige magazines
- Manage multiple deadlines, prioritize workload, and ensure timely delivery aligned with production schedules
- Conduct preflight checks (formats, fonts, links, resolution, colour modes) and resolve issues efficiently
- Collaborate with internal teams to clarify briefs, align requirements, and communicate risks proactively
- Provide backup support during peak production periods
- Contribute to process improvements through template refinement and documentation
- Analyze reporting data and support SLA/KPI tracking
Success in This Role
- First 30 days: Build confidence in workflows, understand systems, and consistently deliver accurate, error-free outputs
- First 90 days: Improve SLA performance, troubleshoot issues proactively, and manage daily tasks with minimal support
- First year: Handle complex production tasks, support extended responsibilities (e.g., material specs, CI), and deepen expertise in end-to-end print fulfilment
