The Qualifications We Seek

Essential

• Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant professional experience
• Experience working in a deadline-driven environment
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with strong attention to grammar and detail
• Experience working collaboratively with Australian teams

Desirable

• Experience in the newspaper or print media industry
• Familiarity with print fulfillment systems
• Lean Six Sigma certification

Your Daily Tasks

Primary

• Prepare and optimize layouts for print mastheads while balancing editorial requirements, pagination guidelines, press specifications, and commercial considerations.
• Plan and paginate classified sections in accordance with established publishing standards.
• Obtain editorial approvals and conduct final reviews of all print materials before page output.
• Coordinate the distribution of technically accurate, print-ready pages to the appropriate national press locations.
• Ensure the timely delivery of publication files while meeting production deadlines and quality standards.
• Finalize print materials according to schedule, including reviewing and approving completed page outputs.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and partner teams to maximize client value and service quality across print delivery operations.
• Coordinate and complete daily tasks efficiently and accurately while prioritizing workloads to meet deadlines.
• Maintain clear and timely communication with relevant stakeholders.
• Escalate production issues, risks, and decisions to key stakeholders when required.
• Understand business priorities and contribute to operational objectives, including compliance with pagination guidelines and on-time performance targets.

Additional

• Uphold established publishing guidelines, procedures, and quality standards.
• Manage shared mailboxes and initiate or respond to print-related communications.

• Manage task allocations effectively in response to employee leave and operational adjustments within the production hub.
