We are seeking a Principal Software Engineer - DevOps to lead our engineering efforts in building and maintaining scalable and reliable infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in software development and DevOps practices, providing technical leadership to drive efficiency and innovation in our development and deployment processes.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes.
- Collaborate with development teams to improve software development and deployment processes.
- Monitor and troubleshoot applications and infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.
- Implement infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar technologies.
- Conduct system performance tuning and optimization for cloud-based applications.
- Ensure security and compliance of cloud environments and applications.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers in best practices for DevOps and software engineering.
Skills and Qualifications
- 5-8 years of experience in software development and DevOps practices.
- Strong proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Ruby.
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Proficient in using CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
- Knowledge of configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
