Principal Mechanical Engineer

Assist the Team Leader in managing mechanical engineering operations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Responsible for planning and coordinating engineering project work and design activities to ensure that project goals/objectives are accomplished within agreed deadline.

·       Provide high level of technical expertise when applying engineering principles, techniques and methods to the planning and design of major projects.

·       Leads the coordination of engineering services on projects undertaken within the local office.

·       Reviewing and checking of drawings to ensure quality of output.

·       Assists Discipline Team Leader by inputting into the establishment of work plan and Engineering/CAD resource for each phase of the project.

·       Confers with Red project team to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities and scope of project design.

·       Provides technical advice to local team personnel to ensure a project's progress on schedule and meet Red project brief requirements.

·       Develop and manage mechanical engineer training program, review and evaluate personnel within his/her designated regional team members.

·       Ensure QA/QC procedures have taken place prior to milestone issues of documentation.

·       Ensure compliance with relevant applicable standards, local building codes and industry regulations.

·       Stay updated with advancement and innovation in HVAC technology and industry trends.

·       Coordinate with respective Regional BUC the status of current and forecasted resource utilization for proper planning of resource re-allocation if necessary.
