Assist the Team Leader in managing electrical engineering operations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for planning and coordinating engineering project work and design activities to ensure that project goals/objectives are accomplished within agreed deadline.
- Provide high level of technical expertise when applying engineering principles, techniques and methods to the planning and design of major projects.
- Leads the coordination of engineering services on projects undertaken within the local office.
- Reviewing and checking of drawings to ensure quality of output.
- Assists Discipline Team Leader by inputting into the establishment of work plan and Engineering/CAD resource for each phase of the project.
- Confers with Red project team to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities and scope of project design.
- Provides technical advice to local team personnel to ensure a project's progress on schedule and meet Red project brief requirements.
- Develop and manage electrical engineer training program, review and evaluate personnel performance.
ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES
- Provide mentoring to Graduate/Junior Engineers.
- Inputs into the technical recruitment of engineering staff
- Review and approve leave application of staff
QUALIFICATIONS
- Licensed Electrical Engineer
- A minimum of 10 years of work experience in engineering design industry.
