Job Description

YOUR ROLE

As part of the country level airfreight team this role is primarily accountable for all RFQ's covering both local and international. This individual will act in accordance with strategy, tactical and guidance put in place by the AIR product organization. The individual will be expected to execute their role in accordance with CEVA operational excellence guiding principles.

Primary responsibilities include the daily checking of email rate requests, proactive checking of won RFQ's and constant communication excellence all contributing to the overall performance hit ratio when engaging with CEVA. The individual will be tasked with executing all process and procedural requirements captured within the quoting and pricing scope including the input & enrichment of data (into the designated core operating systems & solutions) as well as the co-ordination and distribution of all templates. This role is primarily responsible for the management & maintenance of the bid files according to internal guidelines (as defined by Product), in conjunction with all service partners and internal colleagues / departments.

Ensures RFQ requirements are met and takes action in case of deviations from customer requirements. Quality & Compliance adherence.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO

Operational

  • Ensures that all necessary information and data concerning bid template are promptly and accurately disseminated/secured to/from concerned parties.
  • Secure rates with various airlines thru procurement team
  • Consolidate airfreight rates, trucking rates and customs clearance rates applicable for the RFQ
  • Prepare ISR monthly and share to regional in-charge based on agreed deadline
  • Formulate and manage competitive pricing, fare rules and promotions based on market analysis
  • Ensure on time, complete and accurate submission of RFQ bid file to region/GTM as required
  • Assists product leads and procurement in understanding the rate requirement of the customer
  • Communicate with counterparts/network regarding rate request covering origin/destination charges as the need maybe
  • Compare sales trends to previous periods and determine the cause for decrease or increase
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, as pricing analysts work with team members at all levels, including procurement, product heads and sales
  • The ability to pay close attention to detail while remaining accurate is crucial in the analysis of bid templates and requirements needed to accomplish the bid template/file.
  • Analyze and compare pricing data from previously sent bid file (competitors if any)
  • Performs other functions that may be assigned from time to time

Customer Service

  • Primary focus is on internal customer service (engagement, interaction and relationship management of CEVA airfreight departments with other BU, internal clients and business partners)

Administration

  • Active participation in the operational process contributing positively to Countries SLA's and Global/Country operational KPI's

Projects

  • Individual is expected to actively participate and contribute to any and all Business Line projects (internal & external) that they are assigned to.
  • Individual is expected to adhere to all Operational excellence requirements, metrics and activities

Compliance

  • To abide to the Compliance Policies and Procedures of the Company

HS&E

Additional Tasks

  • In addition to this you are required to carry out any other duties as reasonably required by your manager

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR

  • Must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Customs Admin, Airline Operation/Airport Management, Logistic/Transportation or equivalent
  • Has a minimum of three (3) years working experience on a Freight Forwarding / Logistics business
  • Knowledgeable in Air Cargo Freight Forwarding
  • Knowledgeable in MS Office Applications
  • Knowledgeable in Air Operations, Air Cargo Tracking
  • Has good communications skill
  • Fast Learner
  • Must be able to work under pressure
  • Must have keen eye for details
  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills
  • Ability to coordinate/communicate with counterparts/network be it regional or GTM team and monitor updates of each RFQ
  • Experience within Airfreight bid templates and acronyms
  • Experience working with customers (internal & external)
