About the role

The Pricing Manager is responsible for managing the end-to-end quotation process for ocean and airfreight services, ensuring timely, competitive, and commercially sound pricing to support business growth.

The role works closely with sales, operations, and carriers to develop viable transport solutions and convert opportunities into profitable shipments. A key element of the position is leveraging existing relationships with shipping lines, airlines, and consolidators to secure competitive pricing and capacity.

Key accountabilities

Quotation & Pricing Management

  • Prepare competitive quotations for ocean freight and airfreight shipments.
  • Manage spot quotes, request for quotations, and mini bids in coordination with the commercial team.
  • Ensure quotations are accurate, timely, and aligned with company margin expectations.
  • Provide routing options including transit time, carrier selection, and service alternatives.

Carrier & Supplier Relationships

  • Maintain and further develop relationships with shipping lines, airlines, and consolidators.
  • Secure competitive spot rates and service options to support customer requirements.
  • Monitor carrier capacity, rate changes, and market developments.

Sales Support

  • Act as a key pricing partner to the sales team, supporting opportunity conversion.
  • Provide guidance on pricing strategies, routing feasibility, and service solutions.
  • Support commercial discussions where pricing expertise is required.

Tender Support

  • Support preparation and submission of tenders, request for quotations, and contract bids.
  • Coordinate internally to ensure solutions are operationally feasible and commercially viable.

Market Intelligence

  • Track and communicate market trends, rate movements, and capacity developments.
  • Provide feedback to management to support pricing strategy and carrier selection.

Internal Coordination

  • Work closely with operations, procurement, and finance to ensure alignment between quotations and operational execution.
  • Maintain proper documentation of quotations and rate structures.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Graduate of any four-year Business course
  • Excellent relationship management skills
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple requests
  • Strong coordination and communication skills
  • With experience in strong commercial awareness
