About the Role:
As a Fuel Pricing Analyst, you will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and implementing pricing strategies to optimize profitability and remain competitive in the fuel market.
Responsibilities: . Monitor fuel prices and market trends on a daily basis to stay informed about industry dynamics, competitor pricing strategies, and geopolitical factors affecting fuel prices.
. Analyze historical pricing data and sales trends to identify patterns, correlations, and opportunities for pricing optimization.
. Develop and implement pricing strategies that maximize profitability while remaining competitive in the market.
. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, finance, and operations, to ensure alignment of pricing strategies with business objectives and market conditions.
. Utilize pricing optimization tools and software to conduct scenario analyses, price simulations, and sensitivity analyses.
. Monitor and evaluate the impact of pricing changes on sales volume, revenue, and overall business performance.
. Generate regular reports and presentations to communicate pricing insights, trends, and recommendations to key stakeholders.
. Stay abreast of regulatory changes, industry developments, and emerging technologies that may impact fuel pricing strategies.
. Conduct competitive analysis and benchmarking to assess the positioning of our fuel prices relative to competitors.
. Continuously seek opportunities to improve pricing processes, methodologies, and analytical capabilities.
Qualifications: . Bacheloru0027s degree in finance, economics, business administration, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
. Proven experience in pricing analysis, revenue management, or related field, preferably within the fuel industry.
. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and draw actionable insights.
. Proficiency in using statistical analysis tools, Excel, and pricing optimization software.
. Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to articulate complex pricing concepts to diverse audiences.
. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision in data analysis and reporting.
. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
. Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills.
. Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
. Familiarity with fuel industry regulations, market dynamics, and supply chain management principles is a plus.
