VTSA International Inc. is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Preventive Maintenance Service Technician specialising in Elevator and Escalator Systems to join our team in Cebu, City.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform regular preventive maintenance inspections on elevator and escalator systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications and industry standards
- Conduct thorough testing and calibration of safety systems, including door sensors, emergency brakes, overspeed governors and backup power systems
- Identify, diagnose and document mechanical and electrical issues, taking corrective action as needed or escalating to senior technicians when necessary
- Clean, lubricate and replace worn components including cables, pulleys, bearings, safety devices and wear parts to maintain optimal system performance
- Maintain detailed service records and maintenance logs for all equipment serviced, ensuring accurate documentation for compliance and client reporting
- Respond promptly to service calls and emergency breakdowns, providing efficient troubleshooting and repair solutions
- Ensure strict compliance with safety regulations, building codes and company safety protocols at all times
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding maintenance activities, findings and recommendations
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and manage inventory of spare parts and supplies
What We're Looking For
- A recognized qualification or certification in elevator and escalator maintenance, or equivalent experience in elevator and escalator industry
- Proven experience of at least 6 months 1 year working as a preventive maintenance technician in elevator and escalator servicing
- Sound knowledge of elevator and escalator mechanical and electrical systems, including hydraulic, traction and counterweight systems
- Competency in using diagnostic tools, multimeters, pressure gauges and other specialized testing equipment
- Strong understanding of safety regulations, building codes and industry standards relevant to vertical transportation
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose faults quickly and implement effective solutions
- Physical fitness and capability to work at heights, in confined spaces and on rooftops safely
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation for attending multiple client sites across Cebu, City
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain comprehensive and accurate service documentation
- Professional communication skills and a customer-focused approach to client interactions
