Preventive Maintenance Manager

Industry: Heavy Industrial Manufacturing / Continuous Process Plants

We are seeking an experienced Preventive Maintenance Manager to lead overall plant maintenance strategies and drive operational reliability across heavy industrial facilities. Overseeing a multidisciplinary team of engineers, planners, and technicians, you will design and execute proactive, preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs to maximize equipment availability, optimize costs, and maintain safety and environmental compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintenance Strategy & Execution: Develop and implement comprehensive plant maintenance strategies across Preventive, Predictive, Proactive, and Corrective Maintenance disciplines.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Direct, coach, and manage direct reports—including planners, condition monitoring engineers, reliability engineers, and lubrication supervisors.
  • Reliability & Root Cause Analysis: Lead proactive reliability framework implementations to eliminate recurring failures and continuously improve Mean Time Between Failures.
  • Condition Monitoring & Lubrication: Oversee advanced condition monitoring programs and precision lubrication strategies to ensure peak machinery performance.
  • Planning, Scheduling & Budgeting: Direct short- and long-term planning, shutdown schedules, critical spare parts inventory, annual maintenance budgets, and CMMS integration (SAP).
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate closely with plant operations, OEM representatives, specialized third-party contractors, and project teams to execute maintenance turnarounds and CAPEX initiatives safely and efficiently.
  • EHS & Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities strictly align with company health, safety, and environmental standards, prioritizing safe work execution above all else.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering; Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of preventive maintenance experience within heavy industries (e.g., heavy manufacturing, chemical processing, power generation, mining, steel, cement, or continuous production plants), with at least 3 years in a direct supervisory or managerial capacity.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong background in heavy rotating equipment, high-capacity machinery, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and integrated electrical/instrumentation systems.
  • Methodology & Systems: Proficiency in reliability analysis tools (RCFA, FMEA, CBM), condition monitoring techniques, and enterprise management software (SAP / CMMS).
  • Leadership: Track record of driving continuous improvement, managing maintenance budgets, managing contract teams, and fostering a safety-first culture.
