About Obodo Tax

We're a US CPA firm based in San Francisco, providing tax and fractional CFO services to physicians and other owner-operated professional practices. We're small and growing, and this role is central to how the firm runs.

About the role

You'll run the firm's day-to-day operations: keeping client work moving, making sure nothing falls through the cracks, and freeing our founder to focus on clients and growth. You'll work live alongside our US team during Pacific business hours. This is a long-term, full-time contract engagement.

What you'll do

- Onboard new clients: portal invites, engagement letters, follow-up

- Track client documents and follow up on anything missing

- Keep every engagement's status, owner, and next step current

- Send invoices, track payments, and follow up on overdue balances

- Respond to new inquiries and schedule consultations

- Manage the founder's calendar and weekly review prep

- Maintain our prospect list (a small part of the role)

What we're looking for

- 2+ years supporting a US accounting, medical, or legal practice

- Excellent written English; you'll write directly to clients

- Sound judgment on what's urgent and what goes to the founder

- Comfort with client portals, e-signature tools, and online forms

- Organized and self-directed; you catch problems before they slip Nice to have

- Karbon, TaxDome, Canopy, or similar practice software

- CCH Axcess, QuickBooks Online, or Jotform

- Familiarity with the US tax season calendar

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM US Pacific Time (11:00 PM–8:00 AM Manila time; one hour later from November to March).

Reliable internet, a backup connection, and a quiet workspace are required.

Compensation

$1,300–$1,500 USD per month, based on experience.

The interview includes a short live exercise: we'll share a few sample client emails and talk through how you'd handle them.
