PPA Director (Renewable Energy, APAC)

Our client is seeking an experienced commercial professional to originate, structure and close PPAs across Asia. The role covers corporate and utility-related offtake for large-scale renewable energy projects, with a particular focus on developing customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Originate and close PPAs for utility-scale and C&I renewable energy projects.
• Lead commercial structuring, pricing, negotiation and contract execution.
• Develop offtake opportunities with corporate, utility and other institutional buyers.
• Expand major customer relationships across multiple facilities and countries.
• Assess appropriate supply structures within different electricity markets.
• Coordinate sales, investment, finance, legal, technical and project teams.
• Ensure proposed PPA terms support project economics and bankability.
• Maintain relationships with energy buyers and relevant market participants.
• Support the development of new offtake solutions as power markets evolve.

Key Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in PPAs, power sales or renewable energy.
• Proven experience negotiating and closing PPAs from the seller's side.
• Experience working with corporate, utility or institutional offtakers.
• Strong understanding of utility-scale renewable energy projects.
• Knowledge of Asian electricity markets and regulatory structures.
• Relevant experience in the APAC region is essential.
• Understanding of PPA pricing, contractual risk and project economics.
• Strong commercial negotiation and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate regional teams.
