PowerBI Developer II

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or related field
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI (Desktop and Service)
• Strong proficiency in:
• DAX (Data Analysis Expressions)
• Data modeling and relational database concepts
• Power Query (M language) for data transformation
• Experience connecting and integrating diverse data sources (SQL, Excel, cloud platforms, enterprise systems)
• Knowledge of data visualization best practices and dashboard design principles
• Experience with Microsoft ecosystem tools (Excel, SharePoint, Teams, Azure data services)
• Demonstrated ability to incorporate AI-assisted workflows, including:
• Use of Microsoft Copilot (Power BI, Excel, or M365) for code generation, summarization, and analytics acceleration
• Understanding of AI-driven insights (e.g., trend detection, anomaly identification)
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with enterprise reporting environments and KPI/scorecard development
• Familiarity with ServiceNow, HR systems, or Finance data models
• Experience with data warehousing concepts and tools (e.g., Azure Synapse, Databricks, Snowflake)
• Experience implementing predictive analytics or machine learning models in reporting workflows
• Certification(s):
• Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate (PL-300)
• AI or Azure-related certifications (preferred)
• Experience leveraging advanced Copilot capabilities, such as:
• Generating automated insights or narratives directly within dashboards
• Prompt engineering to improve Copilot output quality
• Embedding AI-driven insights into executive-level reporting
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience presenting insights to leadership
• Passion for evolving reporting into AI-enabled, insight-led decision support systems
