Power Platform / AI Automation Engineer

Our client is seeking a Power Platform / AI Automation Engineer with experience building automation workflows, Power Platform solutions, and AI-enabled applications using Microsoft technologies.
This role will support client-facing automation initiatives focused on reducing manual work, improving operational efficiency, and building scalable solutions across business-critical processes. Candidates may be aligned to mid-level or senior-level opportunities based on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and deploy secure, scalable Power Automate cloud flows
- Develop Power Apps Canvas apps and Power Pages interfaces
- Create intelligent document processing and data extraction solutions
- Integrate Power Platform solutions with APIs, custom connectors, SQL, Dataverse, and enterprise systems
- Work with AI Builder, Copilot Studio, Azure AI Services, and/or Azure Foundry
- Build middleware using Azure Functions and Logic Apps
- Design automation workflows, exception handling, retry logic, logging, alerts, and escalation paths
- Support agile delivery, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, testing, demos, and production releases
- Follow CI/CD and deployment standards across development, test, and production environments
- Collaborate with stakeholders, technical program managers, solution architects, and engineering teams
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in RPA, workflow automation, Power Platform development, or related engineering work
- Hands-on experience with Power Apps and Power Automate
- Experience with cloud flows, custom connectors, REST APIs, JSON, SQL, and Dataverse
- Experience with AI Builder, Copilot Studio, Azure AI Services, Azure Foundry, or similar AI automation tools
- Experience building document processing, classification, extraction, or validation workflows
- Working knowledge of Azure Functions and/or Logic Apps
- Agile delivery experience
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in small project teams
Senior-Level Qualifications Preferred
- 7+ years of Power Platform, RPA, workflow automation, or AI engineering experience
- Strong Azure AI Services and/or Azure Foundry experience
- Experience building Human-in-the-Loop AI workflows
- Experience leading end-to-end automation or AI-enabled application delivery
- Financial Services industry experience
Preferred
- Experience working in Microsoft 365 Government Community Cloud, GCC
- Experience supporting client-facing or enterprise automation projects
