Job Summary

The Power BI Developer (Commercial Finance) is responsible in designing and delivering executive-level dashboards that translate complex financial and operational data into clear, actionable insights. This role focuses on building business-ready visualizations that support decision-making across sales, operations, and finance.

• Designs and develops interactive Power BI dashboards for executive and operational stakeholders.

• Translates business requirements into clear, intuitive visualizations (KPIs, trend analysis, variance views).

• Integrates data from multiple sources (ERP systems, Excel, Azure data lake/data warehouse).

• Builds robust data models, measures, and calculations using DAX (e.g., MTD/YTD, variance, margin, pricing, volume analysis).

• Uses Power Query for data transformation, cleansing, and preparation.

• Ensures data accuracy, consistency, and optimal performance of dashboards.

• Delivers dashboards that are presentation-ready for leadership, not just analyst-level outputs.

• Works with fragmented or inconsistent data sources and standardizes reporting structures.

• Collaborates with business stakeholders to refine requirements and improve dashboard usability.

• Applies strong understanding of financial and commercial metrics (revenue, margin, KPIs) in reporting outputs.

Screening Criteria

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, or a related field.

Minimum of three (3) years of experience building Power BI dashboards in a business environment.

• Experience in Power BI development (data modeling, visualization, publishing).

• Experience with multiple data sources, including ERP systems, MS Excel, and data warehouses.

• Must have stable employment history.

Required Qualifications

• Designs dashboards that are visually compelling and easy to interpret.

• Experience using DAX formula for advanced calculations, variance analysis, and complex measures.

• Applies Power Query for data transformation and integration.

• Demonstrates strong understanding of business and financial metrics (sales pipeline, pricing, margin).

• Works effectively in environments with messy or fragmented data.

• Ensures accuracy, consistency, and performance optimization of reports.

• Demonstrates strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.

• Clear and coherent both written and verbal communication skills in English, to effectively communicate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into reports.
