Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Power BI & Data Analytics Specialist to support the Compliance Solutions Team within Johnson & Johnson's Health Care Compliance Global Operations organization. This role focuses on designing, developing, optimizing, and supporting enterprise-scale Power BI solutions that drive compliance reporting and analytics globally.
The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Power BI development, data modeling, analytics, and stakeholder collaboration while ensuring scalability, governance, and high-performance reporting solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Power BI Development & Analytics
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and analytical solutions.
- Build and optimize data models using Star Schema and Snowflake Schema methodologies.
- Translate business requirements into scalable reporting and analytics solutions.
- Develop advanced DAX calculations, measures, and KPIs.
Data Integration & Transformation
- Create and maintain Power Query (M Language) transformations.
- Integrate data from multiple sources including:
- SQL Databases
- SharePoint
- Excel
- APIs
- Enterprise Data Platforms
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and reliability across reporting solutions.
Performance Optimization
- Optimize Power BI datasets, reports, and dashboards for performance and scalability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve reporting issues, data discrepancies, and refresh failures.
- Perform DAX tuning and data model optimization.
Deployment & Security
- Support report deployment through Power BI Service.
- Implement and manage Row-Level Security (RLS) where required.
- Ensure adherence to governance, compliance, and security standards.
Documentation & Support
- Create and maintain technical documentation for:
- Data models
- Business logic
- Report calculations
- Solution architecture
- Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and guidance to business and technical teams.
- Collaborate with Compliance Solutions teams, data owners, and IT stakeholders globally.
Required Experience
- 9+ years of Business Intelligence and Data Analytics experience.
- 3–5+ years of hands-on Power BI development experience with end-to-end delivery ownership.
- Experience supporting enterprise-level reporting and analytics environments.
- Strong experience working with global or regional business systems.
