The MRT7 Project at a Glance

The MRT7 is a 22-kilometer rail and road system extending from North Avenue in Quezon City to San Jose del Monte, Bulacan. Designed to be a backbone of northern metropolitan transit, the project features 14 strategically placed stations, including Quezon North Avenue Joint Station, University Avenue, Batasan, and San Jose del Monte.

Once fully operational, the MRT7 is engineered to support a massive daily capacity of up to 650,000 passengers, offering a faster and more seamless travel experience for the commuting public.

About the Role

The Power and Thirdrail Lead direct the execution of scheduled maintenance for PSS and third-rail systems, ensuring all activities are completed within established timeframes. This role is involve assessing and overseeing unscheduled repairs, developing daily schedules for power and stinger systems, and conducting toolbox meetings to align team members on safety protocols and shift priorities. By providing on-floor technical guidance and serving as an initial responder for power-related failures within the Quick Response Team, the lead ensures high system reliability and immediate incident resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and monitor the execution of scheduled PSS and thirdrail maintenance activities ensuring adherence to timely intervals.
• Identify, assess, and oversee unscheduled maintenance activities on PSS and Third Rail systems as necessary.
• Develop and oversee daily PSS, third rail, and stinger system maintenance schedule and staff assignments.
• Conduct daily toolbox meetings for safety protocols, technical instructions, and shift priorities to team members.
• Monitor daily progress of on-floor maintenance activities and provide technical guidance to power and third rail maintenance teams.
• Perform initial response in the event of failure for power and thirdrail related incidents as part of the Quick Response Team
• Enforce safety compliance and support implementation of all safety protocols during maintenance operations.
• Maintain real-time updates in the Maintenance Management System (MMS) including progress, schedule deviations, and closing out completed work orders.
• Ensure strict adherence to approved power and third rail maintenance schedules developed by Engineering & Planning department.
• Manage the end-to-end procurement lifecycle for goods, services, and assets of power and thirdrail.
• Monitor power and third rail maintenance resources, including manpower, tools, and equipment.
• Recommend improvements regarding power and third rail maintenance manual, regulations, and work processes based on actual experience and maintenance data.
• Oversee and manage the overall goals and performance of team members.
• Contribute to the technical training programs for team members.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree graduate of Electrical Engineering, Electronic Communication, and other specialized Engineering courses.
• PRC License Holder (except Railway Engineering and Industrial Engineering courses)
• One (1) to three (3) years of work experience as Supervisor or three (3) to five (5) years overall work experience.
