PostgreSQL & Azure Cosmos Database Administrator- Alabang

Database Administrator (DBA) with hands-on experience in PostgreSQL and Azure Cosmos DB

to support and operate critical database platforms across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

• PostgreSQL Database Administration
• Install, configure, and maintain PostgreSQL databases across production and nonproduction environments
• Perform database upgrades, patching, and version migrations in alignment with Voya change management processes
• Monitor database health, performance, replication, and capacity
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues related to SQL, locks, indexing, and resource utilization
• Implement and manage
• high availability and replication
• configurations
• Support schema changes and database deployments in partnership with application teams

Azure Cosmos DB Administration

• Administer and support
• Azure Cosmos DB
• (Core SQL API required; other APIs a plus)
• Monitor RU/s, latency, availability, storage, and throughput consumption
• Optimize partitioning strategies, indexing policies, and data models for performance and cost efficiency
• Support backup, restore, and disaster recovery configurations
• Work with application teams to ensure scalable and resilient cloud data architectures
• Enforce secure access patterns using Azure RBAC and Cosmos DB security features

Security, Compliance & Audit Support

• Implement database security best practices to protect
• C3 (Confidential) and C4 (Secret)
• data
• Support
• privileged access controls
• in alignment with Voya standards (e.g., CyberArk)
• Implement and maintain
• database auditing and logging
• to support SOX/MAR, SOC, and internal audit requirements
• Partner with Information Security on riskbased monitoring, logging, and control design
• Assist with audit walkthroughs, evidence requests, and remediation activities
• Ensure consistency between data sensitivity classifications and database security controls

Operations, Resilience & Reliability

• Provide proactive monitoring and alerting for database platforms
• Participate in incident response, root cause analysis, and problem management
• Support disaster recovery planning, execution, and testing
• Maintain operational documentation, standards, and runbooks
• Identify opportunities for automation and operational efficiencies
• Support oncall or escalation rotations as required

Technical Skills

• 4+ years of handson DBA experience supporting
• PostgreSQL
• in enterprise environments
• Handson experience with
• Azure Cosmos DB
• Strong SQL and performance tuning skills
• Experience with database backup, recovery, replication, and high availability
• Working knowledge of Azure cloud services and cloud operating models

Nice to Have

• Automation and scripting experience (Shell, Python, PowerShell)
• Exposure to monitoring and observability tools
• Knowledge of additional database platforms (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL)
