ABOUT US:

The Client is a Maryland-based janitorial company specializing in post-construction cleaning. This division represents our most profitable and technically demanding service line. We are seeking a detail-driven professional to support our estimating process by extracting and organizing critical data from architectural drawings.

This role directly impacts the accuracy, profitability, and scalability of our construction cleaning operations.

JOB OVERVIEW:

The Post-Construction Cleaning Estimator will analyze architectural drawings and extract key project information to support accurate and competitive bids.

You will prepare structured, detailed project breakdowns that enable our U.S.-based estimator to calculate labor hours, crew size, equipment needs, and final pricing with precision.

This is a technical, detail-heavy role requiring strong Excel skills and the ability to interpret construction documents confidently.

JOB ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• This role directly impacts the accuracy, profitability, and scalability of our construction cleaning operations.
• Review and analyze architectural drawings from commercial construction projects
• Extract critical building attributes, including:
• Number of floors
• Building type and classification
• Square footage per floor
• Glass and window coverage
• Ceiling heights
• Special architectural features
• Equipment requirements for specialized cleaning
• Organize extracted information in a clear, structured format
• Input project data into Excel-based pricing calculators
• Provide detailed documentation to support labor time and crew size calculations
• Ensure accuracy and completeness before estimates are finalized
• Communicate with clients via email to get clarifications on bid scopes

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Technical Requirements

• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency (required)
• Ability to interpret and navigate architectural drawings
• Strong technical aptitude and analytical thinking
• High attention to detail

Platform Familiarity

• Experience with Building Connected platform (preferred)

Educational / Professional Background

• Architecture, structural engineering, construction management, or related background preferred
• Experience working with construction documents is highly desirable
