Job Description

The ecosystem architect responsible for the expansion and commercial monetization of the Internet Exchange Point (IXP) and wholesale internet portfolio. As content localization becomes a critical market driver, this PM acts as the bridge connecting major content providers (OTTs, CDNs) with regional access networks.
A massive revenue driver for this role is developing and aggressively selling Private Peering solutions to CATV operators and regional ISPs. By doing so, this PM helps local networks reduce their international transit dependencies while maximizing our network utilization and positioning us as the premier peering hub in the region.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Product Lifecycle & Commercial Execution:Oversees the end-to-end lifecycle of all IXP and peering products (public peering ports, private cross-connects, transit bundles). Creates bespoke commercial packages that bundle underutilized passive infrastructure (e.g., co-location space, dark fiber) with IXP ports to increase overall network asset ROI.

  • Pricing & P&L Management:Conducts monthly reviews of the IXP business unit's profitability (tracking revenue growth against operational costs and CapEx depreciation). Continuously analyzes market rates to maintain and update automated pricing matrices, ensuring our ecosystem remains the most financially attractive option for local ISPs.

  • Ecosystem Acquisition & Sales Synergy (SPOC):Actively hunts and recruits major content generators (Hyperscalers, Gaming Networks, CDNs) to join the exchange, building the gravity needed to attract eyeball networks. Enables the Wholesale Sales teams by providing exact ROI models and pitch decks, and acts as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in high-stakes meetings to close complex peering agreements.

  • Network Alignment & Operations:Collaborates tightly with Core Network Engineering to monitor traffic utilization and proactively trigger capacity upgrades (e.g., 10G to 100G/400G switches) congestion occurs. Works with Operations to streamline provisioning, ensuring port turn-up is frictionless and faster than competitors.

  • Analytics & Industry Advocacy:Deep dives into network traffic reports (NetFlow/sFlow) to identify non-member networks sending heavy traffic to our transit pipes, targeting them for IXP conversion. Represents the company at network operator groups (e.g., PhNOG, APRICOT) to build deep relationships with the global peering community. Champions platform enhancements like automated traffic dashboards for members.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3+ years of progressive experience in IP Transit, Data Center Interconnects, or Network Engineering.

  • Key Trait: Must demonstrate a strong, proven pivot into commercial product management, technical sales, or capacity pricing (we need someone who understands the of peering, not just the engineering).

  • Preferred Certifications (not required): Cisco/Juniper Certifications (CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA) - , Financial Modeling / Pricing Strategy Certifications,MEF (Metro Ethernet Forum) Certifications, Project Management Professional (PMP)

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or inBusiness Administration, Economics, or Finance
