The Fixed Income Portfolio Manager is primarily responsible for the strategy formulation and execution of various mandates including domestic and foreign currency fixed income and equity investments for institutional and individual portfolios, and unit investment trust funds, ensuring that the return/risk objectives are attained.
Responsibilities
- Integrates knowledge of the financial markets to formulate multi-asset portfolio strategies and make recommendations to UITFs and segregated portfolios
- Proposes portfolio solutions tailored to clients specific needs and requirements
- Monitors local and global markets and formulates tactical strategies while simultaneously calibrating the timing of investments
- Monitors overall portfolio returns, risk and liquidity
- Ensures transactions are properly executed in accordance with Unibank Policies & Procedures and UITF Investment Guidelines
- Prepares and presents investment and market reports to Account Officers and Senior Management
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Finance, Economics or other business-related courses preferred but not required
- 3-5 years in portfolio management, fixed income, equities or research or to other functions in Trust or Treasury Departments.
- Knowledgeable in local and global fixed income and equity instruments and corresponding market conventions
- Updated on economic events and well-versed in their impact on market movements
- Familiar with regulations and roles of pertinent regulators
- Knowledgeable in the Trust business
- Completed Treasury Certification Program or the Trust Institute Foundation of the Philippines Trust School or other Trust-related certification programs
