Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for assisting the Fund Managers in portfolio management activities of Variable Life Funds. Responsible for the daily fund management activities, monitoring and reporting of specific investment accounts and the preparation of corresponding schedules/reports.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Achieve hurdle rates for VL funds.
  2. Prepares/updates, coordinates and ensures timely submission of various documents and reporting requirement pertaining to investment transactions to various units and to Management:
  • Prepare transaction sheets and request for payment (CV) for placements.
  • Email daily transactions to Fund Admin for Accounting take-up.
  • Prepare and submit weekly maturity schedule to Cash Management
  • Prepare and submit weekly portfolio monitoring to Fund Managers

3. Coordinates with Counterparties new placements, payout and maturity disposition for Variable Life Funds

4. Prepares and process documents.

5. Coordinates with Cash Management and Accounting

6. Ensures accurate and timely recording

7. Maintenance of monthly schedules, reconciliation of accounts and reporting of the following transactions:

  • placement in time deposits, bonds, government securities
  • roll-over of investments
  • accrual of interests

8. Ensures certificate of investments are updated, properly filed and easily accessible for presentation upon audit

9. Monitors coupon payments of all funds

10. Processes the fund transfer of the dollar coupon payments including the computation

11. Be updated with economic and market developments, which may have an impact on movements in the peso and dollar fixed income market, the exchange rate as well as the equities market by attending economic and market briefings, reading research provided/published by market analysts, brokers, and banks as well as reading newspapers and other relevant publications.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

  • College Degree, preferably in Financial Management or Economics
  • With strong knowledge of financial markets and basic economics principles
  • Preferably with experience in Portfolio Management but also open to fresh graduates
