About the role

This role will help ensure full compliance with environmental, safety, and sustainability requirements while supporting accurate reporting, audit readiness, and continuous improvement across the organization. This position is ideal for someone with strong regulatory knowledge, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to risk prevention and compliance management.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure the organization's compliance with government-mandated pollution control and environmental requirements
  • Investigate standard incidents using current regulatory and compliance processes, systems, and procedures, and take immediate action to resolve compliance issues
  • Support more senior colleagues in handling more complex compliance concerns
  • Prepare and submit required reports such as Self-Monitoring Report (SMR), Discharge Permit, Project Environmental Monitoring and Audit Prioritization Scheme (PEMAPS), and Compliance Monitoring Report (CMR) within required timelines
  • Oversee health, safety, and environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and mandatory instructions
  • Identify and mitigate environmental risks and workplace safety risks
  • Promote safe working methods and address unsafe or risky behaviors promptly
  • Support and deliver audit assignments within assigned areas
  • Develop audit plans, define scope, conduct fieldwork, and report findings and recommendations
  • Collect, organize, and analyze data from standard sources using prescribed tools and formats

About you

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Safety, or a related field
  • Experience in pollution control, environmental compliance, HSE, or audit-related work
  • Knowledge of government environmental regulations and reporting requirements
  • Strong documentation, reporting, and data analysis skills
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working with vendors, contractors, or outsourced service providers is an advantage
