As Pollution Control Officer, you will be responsible for monitoring compliance of the Solar Power Project. This position shall also provide technical and administrative support to both internal and external affairs of the Project Management Team and act as a resource environmental management. This position shall act as the Pollution Control Officer, with proper accreditation and expected to have a hand in hand support with the Occupational Safety and Health Officer of the project. This position shall promote environmental stewardship towards sustainable operations and contribute directly to transforming energy for a better world. You will work closely with the Project Development and Execution Team to deliver results, create positive community impact, and develop your skills in a supportive, purpose-driven environment.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Provide guidance to the Project management team as a resource in areas of environmental management.
- Review compliance with and analyze parameters required by the ECC and other permits required by DENR
- Work and coordinate with the Multipartite Monitoring Team (MMT) to ensure compliance with Air, Water and Soil regulations.
- Act as a Pollution Control Officer of the project and perform the duties and responsibilities stated on DENR Administrative Order No. 2014-02
- Respond to environmental incidents/concerns/complaints in relation to development and construction of the plans and generated wastes by recommending appropriate action in the remediating/resolution of the issue.
- Recommend preventive and corrective measures whenever potential environmental threats and complaints may arise.
- Implement environmental programs by identifying environmental requirements, conceptualize and preparation of Environmental Program, implementation and monitoring/assessing its effectiveness and compliance in order to address the requirement of regulating agencies, internal and external customers.
- Communicate to employees, contractors and community the environmental programs by conducting trainings, orientation, drills and post activity documentation in order to increase awareness and solicit participation/compliance
- Prepare required reports by keeping an updated database of monitoring results and other Environmental Records in order to serve an easy and quick reference during validation, resolution of environmental complaints, audit and other assessment activities.
- Manage environmental programs by identifying environmental requirements, conceptualization and preparation of Environmental Programs, implementation and monitoring/assessing its effectiveness and compliance in order to address the requirement of regulating agencies, internal and external customers.
- Assist on the requirement for Occupational Safety and Health of the Project
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by his/her immediate superior.
What You Will Need:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in any engineering courses
- At least two [2] years of experience in Environmental Management or Pollution Control
- Preferred to have PCO license.
Technical / Functional Skills:
- Proficiency in Pollution Control and Monitoring, mitigation, and abatement; Environmental Management Systems; Environmental Laws and Regulations; Environmental Assessment (monitoring and audit).
- Strong skills in Leadership/ Managerial, Interpersonal and Communication, Project Management, Computer, and Prepare reports, plans, programs.
