What You Will Be Doing
The
PMS Engineer provides support to the ships by adding and updating information in the Planned Maintenance System database and ensuring correct data entry related to maintenance jobs, equipment and spare parts, all in line with applicable rules and regulations (amongst others Class- and Flag state- regulations) and company standards.
He/ She will also develop and run basic analysis of reported and available information.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and process data change requests sent by email by the ship and shore technical departments.
- Interpret maintenance and operator manuals to extract relevant data for job instructions / schemes and spare parts and make the required changes in the Planned Maintenance System.
- Lead and execute projects related to optimization of the Planned Maintenance System.
- Facilitate training Planned Maintenance System and New hired officers training.
- Manage quality of data input in the system according to companys current procedures and data standards e.g. Master Equipment List.
- Execute supportive / administrative tasks as required and Report any data inconsistency encountered.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Marine Engineering, or any engineering related course .
- Good Knowledge and experience of working with Planned Maintenance Systems is preferred.
- Ex-seafarer (engineer) or Superuser is preferred.
- Ability to travel as Superuser.
- Knowledge in PBI application or any reporting app. Must have good working knowledge of MS Office application.
- Good interpersonal skills/able to work in a team. Strong communication skills (both in written and verbally) in the English language.
