Job Description

CORE PROFILE

As a Sr Platform Product Specialist, you'll be assisting the lead of Core Platforms (IAU), by contributing to Maya's product platform strategy and execution of roadmaps Identities and Access Management (IAM) and Accounts Management. With your intermediate product management and ownership skills, you'll be responsible for ensuring that our platforms meet the needs of our customers, align with business goals, and ensure Maya's compliance with regulators. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, hands-on technical depth in authentication and access-control systems, strong experience in formulating data-driven conclusions, the ability to translate insights into product / platform decisions, and a hands-on AGILE approach towards the product development lifecycle (PDLC).

NATURE OF WORK

In this role, you will be primarily responsible for managing Core Platforms for Identities, Access and Account Management (IAM)

The Core Platform Product Specialist for (IAM) and Accounts Management

  • Own the core platforms of Identity and Access management that enable customers and internal teams to safely onboard, authenticate, and transact within Maya. This role ensures that every customer interaction—from registration to daily usage across Maya's channels and products—happens in a way that is secure, compliant, reliable, and scalable, while also enabling internal teams to build and operate services efficiently.
  • Own the Accounts Management platform that governs customer account status, lifecycle, and wallet limits, acting as the central control layer that enforces access, transaction eligibility, and regulatory constraints across Maya's products and services.
  • Rather than managing individual systems or products, the Platform Manager is accountable for the end‑to‑end customer and internal experience.

Documentation – Ensure Current capabilities and changes are properly documented via Product Requirements Documents (PRDs), Service Memos and other documentation needed to enable Maya channels and services.

Market Research: Conduct in-depth market analysis within the Philippines FinTech Sector, staying attuned to industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging opportunities. Use this knowledge to determine key product strategies.

User-Centered Design: Champion user-centered design principles, ensuring that products are intuitive, user-friendly, and meet the needs of our customers.

Risk and Compliance: Collaborate closely with compliance and legal teams to ensure products adhere to relevant regulations and security standards set by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) and other regulators.

Data-Driven Decisions: Leverage data analytics and customer insights to drive product enhancements, optimize user experiences, and maximize revenue.

Collaborative Cross-Functional Work: Work closely with business, product, engineering, design, marketing, and customer support teams to ensure successful product development, marketing, and customer engagement.

Financial Analysis: Monitor the financial performance of your product portfolio, tracking revenue, expenses, and profitability. Identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost optimization.

DISPLAYED SKILL MASTERY

  • Proficiency in AGILE software and product development lifecycles framework
  • Working technical knowledge of identity and access management protocols (OAuth/OIDC, JWT-based tokens, authentication methods such as passwords, biometrics, and passkeys, and MFA/OTP/TOTP) — able to discuss system internals and trade-offs with engineering and security teams, not just user-facing behavior
  • Proficiency in using data analytics tools and techniques to make data-driven decisions, monitor product performance, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Experience in using AI tools (such as Cursor or Claude)
  • Prior hands-on technical background (e.g., software engineering, solutions architecture, or technical product management) sufficient to evaluate build-vs-buy, protocol, and integration trade-offs for identity and access systems
  • Roll-out strategy and implementation
  • Stakeholder management skills and management of the product prioritization and roadmap
  • High familiarity with API Framework and how platforms are integrated towards an end feature.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and address product-related challenges in the dynamic fintech landscape.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and mentor junior team members.
  • An unwavering commitment to understanding and meeting the financial needs of consumers.

EXPECTED RESULTS

  • As a Senior Platform Product Specialist, your performance will be measured by the following key performance indicators and expected results:
  • Product Improvement in Core Platform Performance (e.g. Data Quality, Accuracy, Automation, Conversion Rates etc)
  • User Satisfaction: Maintain a consistently high user satisfaction rating (e.g. NPS Scores, Feedback forms, etc.)
  • Product Launch Efficiency: Ensure that new product launches adhere to project timelines, with projects completed on schedule.
  • Revenue and Profitability: Meet or exceed revenue and profitability targets for your Core Platform, with a focus on specific financial goals (e.g. X% increase in annual revenue)
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all products within your portfolio maintain full compliance with relevant financial industry regulations, with no major compliance violations.
  • Product Enhancements: Implement user-driven product enhancements and improvements based on user feedback and data analysis.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Computer Science/Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in product management or a related role, with experience owning platform-level capabilities, driving cross-functional initiatives, and formulating data-driven product decisions.
  • Proven track record of successfully launching and managing consumer-based financial technology products.
  • Demonstrated technical depth in identity, access management, or authentication systems (e.g., prior software engineering, security engineering, or technical product management experience) — able to explain how these systems work under the hood and articulate trade-offs between technical approaches, not only how they function for end users.
  • Proficiency in AGILE development methodologies.
  • Preferably with an understanding of financial services, operations, regulations, and industry-specific challenges.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights. (familiarity with SQL is a plus!)
  • Proficiency with AI Tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, to convey complex findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • English proficiency.
