Platform Engineer

We are looking to hire a Platform Engineer (Level 6)to supportDevOps and AKS Operationsfor theJapan marketas part of theETS Reliability Engineeringteam. The role will be based in thePhilippinesand will focus on ensuring platform reliability, operational excellence, and automation for cloud‑native workloads running on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).

This position plays a key role in supporting business‑critical services, enabling smooth deployments, and maintaining operational stability across non‑production and production environments.

Position Responsibilities:

• ProvideDay‑to‑Day DevOps and AKS operational supportfor the Japan market platforms.
• Manage and supportAzure Kubernetes Service (AKS)clusters across Non-Prod, and PROD environments.
• Supportapplication onboarding, deployment, scaling, and troubleshootingon Kubernetes.
• Maintain and operateCI/CD pipelines(Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.).
• Performincident response, root cause analysis (RCA), and post‑incident follow‑ups.
• Supportplatform upgrades and changes, including config server upgrades, certificate renewals, and security changes.
• Collaborate with application teams to ensure adherence toplatform standards, best practices, and reliability requirements.
• Implement and enhanceautomation, monitoring, alerting, and self‑service capabilities.
• Work closely with Global Platform, Security, and Compliance teams to ensure governance and control adherence.
• Participate inon‑call rotationsand operational handovers as required.

Required Qualifications:

• Strong experience withDevOps practicesandcloud‑native platforms.
• Hands‑on expertise withLinux/Unix OSandAzure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
• Solid understanding ofKubernetes concepts(Pods, Deployments, Services, Ingress, ConfigMaps, Secrets).
• Experience withCI/CD pipelinesand infrastructure automation.
• Strong troubleshooting skills acrosscontainerized applications, networking, and platform layers.
• Familiarity withmonitoring and observability tools(e.g., New Relic, Azure Monitor, Prometheus).
• Experience working withLinux‑based environments.
• Good understanding ofsecurity concepts, including RBAC, managed identities, certificate management, and workload identity.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across distributed teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supportingmulti‑region or market‑specific platforms.
• Exposure toAzure native servicessuch as Key Vault, Service Bus, Storage Accounts.
• Experience inReliability Engineering / SRE‑aligned environments.
• Prior experience supportingJapanese market workloadsis a plus.
• Knowledge ofPython and Node.js application ecosystemsis advantageous.
