Role Description The Plant Mechanical Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Tagoloan, responsible for ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of plant mechanical systems and equipment. Day-to-day tasks include designing, reviewing, and maintaining mechanical components and machinery, conducting equipment performance assessments, and supporting troubleshooting and root cause analysis for mechanical issues. The role involves preparing and updating engineering drawings and documentation, collaborating with cross-functional teams on plant improvement initiatives, and supporting maintenance planning and execution. The Plant Mechanical Engineer will also participate in projects related to process optimization, safety improvements, and equipment upgrades, while adhering to relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications

Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering, with practical experience in industrial or plant environments.
Proficiency in Machine Design and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for creating and revising mechanical components and assemblies.
Experience in Project Management, including planning, scheduling, coordinating resources, and monitoring progress for plant-related projects.
Background in Research and Development (R&D), with the ability to evaluate new technologies, materials, and methods to improve plant performance.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
Knowledge of industrial safety standards, preventive maintenance practices, and reliability engineering principles.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and equipment manuals, and to generate clear technical documentation.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively on-site with multidisciplinary teams.
Willingness to be based in Tagoloan and to work in a plant environment, including occasional extended hours when needed for critical operations.
