Job Description
The Plant Manager is responsible for the overall management of plant operations to ensure the achievement of production, quality, safety, delivery, and profitability targets. The role oversees manpower, facilities, equipment, and financial resources while ensuring compliance with food safety standards, government regulations, and company policies.
Responsibilities
- Lead overall plant operations to achieve production, quality, cost, and delivery targets.
- Develop and execute annual operating plans, budgets, and productivity programs.
- Monitor production capacity and recommend improvements to support business growth.
- Ensure adequate supply of raw materials, packaging materials, and operating supplies.
- Oversee the maintenance and reliability of plant equipment and facilities.
- Ensure compliance with cGMP, HACCP, TQM, SSOP, and other food safety standards.
- Maintain adherence to company quality policies and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with government agencies such as FDA, NMIS, and local government units.
- Oversee sanitation, environmental, and waste management programs
- Manage plant budgets and operating expenses.
- Analyze production costs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Prepare and review financial reports and operational performance metrics.
- Evaluate and justify capital expenditures and equipment investments through ROI analysis.
- Lead, coach, and develop department heads and plant management teams.
- Conduct performance evaluations and implement development plans.
- Recommend hiring, promotions, transfers, and disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate closely with Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, Engineering, Finance, HR, and Sales teams.
- Ensure timely delivery of products to internal and external customers.
- Address customer concerns and drive service excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Food Technology, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- At least 5-10 years of progressive manufacturing experience, with 3-5 years in a plant leadership or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of food manufacturing operations, food safety systems, quality management, and production planning.
- Experience in budget management, cost control, and operational excellence programs.
- Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Must be willing to relocate at Pavia, Ilo-Ilo
