About the Role

We are looking for experienced Plant Finance Controller to provide financial leadership across key business categories within a leading food manufacturing organization.

These roles will serve as strategic finance partners to both business and operations leaders, driving financial performance, profitability, cost management, governance, and decision support. The successful candidates will oversee end-to-end finance operations, including plant finance, category finance, financial accounting, cost accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and business performance management.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Finance Business Partnering

• Act as the lead finance partner for the assigned business unit.
• Support business leaders with financial analysis, performance insights, and strategic recommendations.
• Drive profitability, margin improvement, and business growth initiatives.
• Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Commercial teams to achieve business objectives.

Financial Planning & Analysis

• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
• Monitor and analyze financial and operational performance against targets.
• Identify risks and opportunities and provide actionable recommendations.
• Deliver timely management reporting and business performance reviews.

Plant Finance & Manufacturing Support

• Provide financial leadership to manufacturing operations.
• Monitor plant performance, production costs, inventory movements, and operational efficiencies.
• Lead cost management initiatives and support productivity improvement programs.
• Partner closely with plant leadership to improve operational and financial outcomes.

Cost Accounting & Controls

• Oversee product costing, inventory valuation, standard costing, and variance analysis.
• Ensure accuracy of manufacturing costs and product profitability reporting.
• Drive strong internal controls, compliance, and governance practices.

Financial Accounting & Reporting

• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Maintain integrity of financial records, balance sheet management, and audit readiness.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

Leadership & Team Management

• Lead and develop finance teams within the assigned business unit.
• Build a high-performing finance organization through coaching, mentorship, and capability development.
• Foster strong collaboration across finance and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field.
• CPA preferred.
• Significant experience in finance leadership roles within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong and proven Plant Finance experience is required.
• Experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, consumer goods, packaging, pharmaceutical manufacturing, or similar industries is highly preferred.
• Strong people leadership and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to influence business decisions and drive operational improvements.
