About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Planning & Scheduling Engineer to develop, coordinate, and monitor production schedules that ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, excellent blueprint interpretation abilities, and experience coordinating multiple departments to maintain an efficient production workflow.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed production schedules for multiple projects.
- Coordinate schedules between Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Quality Control, and Shipping.
- Analyze project timelines, labor availability, material lead times, and production capacity to optimize workflow.
- Monitor project progress and identify schedule risks before they impact delivery.
- Update production schedules based on engineering changes, material delays, or customer requirements.
- Read and interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings, and project specifications.
- Track production performance and prepare schedule status reports for management.
- Work closely with Project Managers and department supervisors to ensure deadlines are met.
- Recommend process improvements to increase productivity and reduce bottlenecks.
- Support capacity planning, resource allocation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, manufacturing, or project coordination.
- Strong production planning and scheduling skills.
- Excellent blueprint and technical drawing interpretation skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

- Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)
