Onsite – Baguio City, PH

As The Planner Buyer, You Will

Procure Direct Production Materials:

  • Analyze demand signals using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and related systems to ensure accurate and timely purchase order (PO) placement.
  • Execute timely release of purchase orders to support multi-level production requirements and maintain optimal inventory levels.

Perform Supplier Sourcing And Selection

  • Conduct Request for Quotation (RFQ) processes for gap buys and alternative sourcing requirements.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers to achieve cost efficiency and value.
  • Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery performance, and alignment with company objectives.

Ensure Timely Communications

  • Monitor supply status and maintain accurate schedules within MRP systems to ensure continuity of operations.
  • Proactively communicate supply issues, risks, and delays to planners, internal stakeholders, and regional support teams.
  • Escalate critical supply concerns and lead negotiations to mitigate impact on production.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Participate in cross-functional teams (CFTs) to support projects and initiatives relevant to procurement and supply chain operations.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Production Planning, Engineering, Logistics, and other support functions to align demand and supply requirements.

Administrative Support

  • Resolve logistics, receiving, and inspection-related issues to ensure timely system transactions and prevent payment delays.

To be considered for this role, here's what you'll need to bring with you:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Behavioral Science, Engineering or related Supply Chain Management Course
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in buying and purchasing function
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
  • Preferably with experience in raw material procurement
  • Willing to accept contractual role

Strong Skills In

  • English communication (verbal and written)
  • Negotiation
  • Computer proficiency (Word, Excel)
  • Familiarity with MRP and ERP system
  • Reading and interpreting drawing
  • With basic knowledge of contracts
