Job Role: Senior Full Stack Laravel Developer

Compensation range: $2,500 - $3,000 AUD/month

Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement

Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with the AU business hours (approx. 9 AM - 5 PM, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you'll have flexibility in how you manage your time.

Who We Are: At Hunt St, we help Australian companies hire top remote talent in the Philippines. For this role, you will be engaged directly by the client as an independent contractor. We are not an outsourcing agency. All of our roles are 100% remote so you'll be able to work from home.

Who The Client Is: An established Australian business specialising in personalised badges and custom promotional products, with over 20 years of experience in the industry. They provide customised products for businesses, organisations, schools, groups, and individuals, helping customers express their identity, promote their brands, and communicate creatively.

Role Overview: The client is looking for a Senior Full Stack Laravel Developer to take ownership of an existing custom ERP codebase and support the business through a period of transition. You'll work closely with the existing team to understand the current system, manage and improve the codebase, troubleshoot issues, and implement new features as the business continues to grow.

This is a hands-on role suited to a developer who is comfortable working with an existing application, understanding how different systems and workflows connect, and making practical improvements without needing everything to be built from scratch.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of the existing custom ERP codebase and become familiar with its architecture, workflows, and business logic
• Review, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve existing Laravel applications
• Develop and implement new features based on business requirements
• Work across both backend and frontend components of the application
• Manage and work with databases, APIs, and third-party integrations
• Investigate bugs, identify root causes, and implement practical fixes
• Review existing code and identify opportunities to improve reliability, performance, and maintainability
• Support the transition and documentation of the existing system from the outgoing developer
• Understand and support key business workflows, including order intake, artwork processing, customer approvals, printing, production, and dispatch
• Communicate technical issues and solutions clearly to non-technical stakeholders
• Provide practical recommendations on system improvements and development priorities

Requirements:

• 4+ years of professional full stack development experience, with strong hands-on experience in PHP and Laravel
• Experience working with an existing codebase
• Good understanding of databases, APIs, and third-party integrations
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
• Ability to understand business processes and translate them into practical technical solutions
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms
• Experience with ERP, e-commerce, manufacturing, order management, or similar systems is highly desirable
