Job Description

The Accounting Specialist performs a wide range of administrative duties as assigned and maintains confidentiality of all privileged information. This position may include processing account receivables, assisting in making collections, cash posting, data entry and bookkeeping for Accounting management.

Responsibilities

  • Process receivables and other requested items as directed.
  • Research and respond to all receivable and other inquiries in a prompt manner.
  • Check and verify source documents such as Accounting invoices, receipts, statements.
  • Post incoming payments.
  • Communication with customers via phone, email, mail. etc.
  • Compile and check source documents, such as vouchers, invoices, purchase orders, and cash receipts, for completeness and accuracy, and prepares reports.
  • Verify and post details of business transactions to appropriate ledgers and journals, and total accounts.
  • Other Finance and Accounting tasks, reconciliations, special projects and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Assist the team members as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Two to four years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
