Position: PEZA & BIR Officer
Location: Libis, Quezon City

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurate and timely filing/remittance of taxes (LGU/BIR) of Probe entities (i.e MPI, ITS, and no operation entities)
  • Ensures timely and accurate filing of various PEZA reports (EZMPR/WFH reporting, Farm In/Farm Out (8112, 8105 and 8106), Annual FIRB ABR and ATIR. In addition, submission of tax team managed documents to PEZA (via ACMS) and BOI/FIRB (via online platform available/ required)
  • Assist the tax manager in completing requirements/collating source documents from various internal stakeholders for purposes of BIR registration/retirement, PEZA registration, LOA application including inspections, ITH validation with PEZA and BOI, as applicable.
  • Primarily responsible in conducting internal permits compliance health check (i.e. TAX MAPPING) and updating of the local file for tax filing and payment monitoring.
  • Assist the tax manager in statutory audit LOA (BIR, LGU, BOI and PEZA) and external/assurance/tax audit examiners pursuant to and when necessary, provides information/reports/reconciliations required.
  • Coordinate with the various departments any processes that needed to be changed/reviewed in relation to changes in tax laws and new PEZA/ BIR/ BOI issuance.
  • Assistance to supplieru0027s accreditation requirements by sharing the correct/updated company registration documents and sworn affidavits for VAT Zero Rating.
  • Submission to BIR of the annual books of accounts, audit required returns requested via official government email.
  • Assist the tax manager on handling BIR tax audits
  • Ad hoc task including but not limited to manager check preparation, routing of approval for signature, request for supplies, RCA/REIMBURSEMENTS of tax related payments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Financial, Taxation, Management, or a related field.
  • Preferably with 2-5 years experience in BIR and PEZA compliance and audits.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • CPA License and experience in auditing firms is an advantage.
