Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Personal Injury Liens Negotiator to join our team. In this role, they will be responsible for negotiating and reducing medical bills and liens with healthcare providers, private health insurance carriers, Medi-Cal/Medicare, and other governmental entities. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, a deep understanding of personal injury cases, and the ability to effectively manage lien resolution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Negotiate and reduce medical bills and liens with healthcare providers, insurance carriers, Medi-Cal, Medicare, collections agencies, and other applicable entities
• Review, verify, assemble, organize, and itemize client medical bills and outstanding lien amounts
• Manage the lien resolution process from initial review through final negotiation and resolution
• Communicate professionally with medical providers, insurance representatives, collections agencies, attorneys, co-workers, and clients
• Provide clients with timely updates regarding the status and outcome of medical bill and lien negotiations
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case information, negotiation records, and lien details in the firm's database or case management system
• Upload, organize, and share relevant medical bills, lien documents, and other case-related documentation appropriately
• Maintain complete and accurate records related to case disclosures and lien resolution
• Coordinate closely with attorneys and internal legal staff regarding medical bills, liens, and negotiation outcomes
• Follow current lien negotiation practices and applicable procedures for personal injury cases
• Manage a large volume of personal injury cases while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy
• Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive client, medical, and case information

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 2 - 3 years of experience in personal injury law, with hands-on experience negotiating medical liens
• Strong understanding of the personal injury lien process and current negotiation practices
• Experience negotiating medical bills and liens with healthcare providers, insurance carriers, Medi-Cal, Medicare, and/or collections agencies
• Knowledge of medical treatment, medical billing, and different types of healthcare providers
• Experience managing a high volume of personal injury cases
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with clients, medical providers, insurance representatives, attorneys, and internal teams
• Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office 365
• Proficiency with case management systems and databases
• Ability to maintain accurate records and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment
• Team-oriented, professional, and positive attitude
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive client and medical information appropriately
