Job Description

The Permits and Liaison Specialist under Summit Outdoor Media is responsible for obtaining the necessary permits, licenses, and approvals for the installation of OOH advertising displays and structures. Your role involves liaising with local authorities, property owners, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with regulations and smooth project execution

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and identify the required permits, licenses, and approvals for OOH advertising installations in various locations.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with local government agencies, zoning boards, and other regulatory bodies to facilitate the permitting process.
  • Ensure that OOH advertising projects adhere to all local, state, and local regulations and zoning codes.
  • Prepare and submit permit applications, supporting documents, and fees as needed. Track the status of applications and follow up on approvals.
  • Collaborate with property owners and landlords to obtain necessary permissions for advertising installations on their premises.
  • Conduct site visits to assess the feasibility of OOH advertising installations and identify potential compliance issues.
  • Stay informed about changes in regulations and zoning laws that may affect OOH advertising projects.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Legal Management, Political Science, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 3–5 years of experience in regulatory compliance, permitting, or legal affairs, preferably in the Out-of-Home (OOH) advertising, real estate, construction, or related industries.
  • Strong knowledge of local government processes, zoning laws, environmental regulations, and permit acquisition procedures.
  • Experience in liaising with government agencies, zoning boards, and other regulatory bodies.
  • Proficient in preparing, reviewing, and submitting legal and regulatory documents, contracts, and permit applications.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills for engaging with property owners, landlords, and government representatives.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess site feasibility and address compliance issues.
  • Ability to interpret and apply local, state, and federal laws related to advertising and property use.
  • Willingness to travel for site inspections and meetings with regulatory authorities.
