JOB DESCRIPTION

Under the direct supervision of the Unit Head, will be in charge of the monitoring, coordination, and provision of technical assistance to Field Offices (FOs) and other intermediaries in the implementation of the Persons with Disability Welfare Program under the Older Persons and Persons with Disability (OPPWD) Unit.

Functions and Responsibilities:

1. Act as the focal person of the Persons with Disability Welfare Program

2. Conduct/attend to meetings/dialogues/workshops with the National Council on Disability Affairs (NCDA), Sub-Committees, and Technical Working Groups (TWGs), among others

3. Develop and provide inputs and comments on policies concerning the PWD program

4. Monitor FOs compliance and submission of accomplishment reports regularly (monthly, quarterly, semestral, annually) for consolidation and submission to the Unit Head and Division Chief

5. Prepare memo/response letters to requests/concerns of FOs, OBSUs, and referring parties

6. Acknowledge/analyze reports and provide inputs/recommendations to FOs and further technical assistance, and conduct monitoring visits, as necessary

7. Prepare draft guidelines, Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), action plans, activity proposals, and Work and Financial Plans in consultation with the finance officer and concerned staff/unit

8. Prepare periodic accomplishment reports of the handled program with analysis and recommendations for policy, program, and system enhancements

9. Respond to inquiries/complaints and coordinate with the appropriate office to facilitate actions on the requests and referrals through phone calls, email, and walk-in clients

10. Coordinate the Department's accomplishments and updates on the implementation of the PWD program

11. Act as a resource person during activities of FOs, and meetings on PWD, as well as represent the DSWD during activities and other meetings through online or face-to-face, as may be directed by the Unit Head and Division Chief

12. Performs other tasks that may be assigned by the immediate supervisor/s.
