JOB DESCRIPTION

Under the supervision of Planning Officer IV and the Division Chief, the Social Welfare Officer III, shall draft policy-related documents, identifying gaps and recommended actions relative to sectoral or other social welfare and development concerns provide comments and inputs to various draft bills, guidelines, and international resolutions and documents prepare formal communications in response to various queries, complaints, and/or other letters received from various stakeholders provide necessary technical assistance to other OBSUs, Field Offices, and other stakeholders and duty-bearers in line with policy formulation and development, including policy review and legislative advocacy.

Functions and Responsibilities:

1. Review and provide technical inputs on policies, guidelines, plans, programs, proposals, reports, and other bureau documents

2. Monitor and facilitate compliance with the Bureau's Office Performance Contract, management directives, and other institutional requirements

3. Develop, update, and recommend guidelines, standard operating procedures, and process improvement measures

4. Provide technical, coordination and administrative support to the Office of the Director, including the preparation of reports, presentations, correspondence, and other official documents

5. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to support the implementation of bureau programs, projects, and initiatives

6. Conduct research, analysis, and monitoring activities to support policy development, planning and performance management

7. Participate in meetings, committees, technical working groups, and consultations, and prepare the necessary documentation and follow-up actions

8.Perform other relevant functions that may be assigned.

(i) For RA 1080 Eligible (RSWs and/or other board passers only):

7. Performance Rating in the last semestral/probationary rating period or its equivalent, as may be applicable.

(i) Applicants from public sectors outside DSWD Central Office: If vying for promotion or transfer, a performance rating of at least Very Satisfactory in the last semestral/probationary rating period prior the date of assessment or screening is required.
